A strategy to setup energy services for business district with small to medium sized companies

Business districts with small to medium sized companies show high energy saving potential. However, due to lack of knowledge and financial funding, this potential is not used. Combining these companies together will make them interesting for Energy Service Companies (ESCO). This paper explains which type of Esco is most suitable for these companies. Based upon reserach methods: Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Quality function Deployment (QFD), the most suitable form of Esco is addressed. Also the significance of so called ‘energy managers’ is debated.
